Anxiety attacks feel like heart attacks?

Im 13 and I recently started getting anxiety attacks I always thought it was a whimp thing but I found out its not it feels very similar to a heart attack my heart would hert my left arm would give me trouble both arms would feel like pins and needles my heart would speed up and other stuff do yall get that if so can yall help me
ps. Smoking pot doesnt feel good while its happining
Yeah, it can feel like a heart attack and any of your 5 senses can be warped. Since you are so young, you might ask if they will allow you to take some stress tabs with zinc, this would be natural alternative. I would hate to see you start this young on anti anxiety meds. The attacks are really terrifying and seem to run in families. You might could go to a doctor and get on some anti depressants, those can sometimes stop the attacks. If you do think a family member has these same attacks, ask this person what worked for them. The stress tabs with zinc are vitamins that help the nervous system and should be taken with a meal. Some of them cropping up now probably has to do with you going thru adolesence and they will level out some later. I hope you feel better soon.
hi jdy123,i would never say someone is too young to have anxiety, or attacks brought on by it. has this been happening long to you? if it is happening to you while your smoking pot or right after,maybe your pot is laced with something? or maybe pot is making you feel weirded out and a little self conscious.causing you to become paranoid. that would make it feel like a heart attack. you never know.talk to someone about this,like a grown up. OMG now i know im realy gettin old.thanks alot now im having an anxiety attack.lol
Hi jdy123, Your arms and hands are tingling because you're hyperventilating. The same thing happens to me during panic attacks. It's very scary when you don't understand what's happening. As goofy as this sounds, you have to breath into a paper bag. Under what circumstance are you having these panic attacks? It might not be a bad idea to try hypnosis. You need to get your panic under control, and learning relaxation techniques can be very helpful. Is there any way you can avoid the situations that cause the attacks? You need to talk to your parents and explain your problem, so that you can find a way to work through this. Can you talk to them..are they OK? I think it would be sad to resort to medication at your age. The longer you can stay off of meds, the better... honestly!! Hang in there, keemo7
