Dose? Is that how it works? I have been trying for over a year to find something to work most recently I'm on paxil 20 Mgs for 9 days if its going to work for my depression and anxiety will I just feel better one day after taking it help please
It takes at least 3 weeks for most of them to start working- I took Paxil for awhile - I hope it works- it's supposed to help with anxiety. If you are really still feeling bad talk to your prescribing md and I hope it's a psychiatrist. Usually only after a month if its not helping will the docs chg it. Then sometimes it takes 3 months to get full effects. Good luck. Recommend counseling and exercise which will improve your anxiety.
Meds didn't help me a lot, but they do most people. I found help with TMS - Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation - MRI technology using magnets and electricity aimed at the part of the brain needing stimulation. It's FDA Approved for Medication Resistant Depression. It's very expensive, but call around to see if you can get into a research study or teaching hospitals sometimes have free programs. And insurances are starting to pay for it. Don't get discouraged and do keep on trying things. If not TMS, there are other technologies coming along all the time. Just search the Internet and be willing to try new things - you never know, TMS or another new idea might be your pot of gold under the rainbow: The end of depression!! EJ23
