I am doing a presentation on the pathophysiology of sepsis and my tutor mentioned the administration of antibiotics given in A&E worsens vascular permiability and therefore leaky capillaries for a short period before it begins to resolve. I need to discuss this effect and I'm not sure what it's called and where I find this information. Thank you!

Are there any sepsis survivors out there who have been told they need to be on antibiotics for life?
