I am managing a TB spine patient who has persistant vomiting related to TB medications. When given in divided doses she seems to tolerate them.
Any change in how they're giving has to be authorized by the dr, no 1. They are given in specific doses because that is what the manufacturer has determined works. The dr should be ordering something for nausea to be given before the tb meds are given. Of course if the patient can't keep the med down, then its better to get it in her somehow but that's back to no. 1. If she/he is getting more then one medication, then you can alter the times so they are not given together.
