If you have heart disease, this is something you should be discussing with your cardiologist. I have a very involved and difficult heart/aorta problem which has damaged one of my kidneys. I cannot take ANY over the counter pain relievers, as they all go through the kidneys and damage them further. In the past, I've had back surgery, as well as several other surgeries which have left me with lingering aches and pains. But with my heart condition, I can't take any of the normal pain relievers because of their adverse effect.
This is a question you really need to address with your doctor. He will recommend what you can and cannot take.
