my doctor recommended Brisdelle
Many medications have multiple uses. Unfortunately the drug company's have to market it for one singular use. It is under this use that it will be entered into chemical/medication texts and books, as well as presented to drs. Sometimes researchers mayve found another use while trials were being done, other times-and most commonly-the other use(s) are found when a dr prescribes the med for what it was developed for but it inexplicably helps another problem... This is spoken about at seminars and slowly all the uses are realized. My dr likes prescribing meds like this when I react to the meds that are made for a certain condition. This is what happened with your med. it was prescribed for depression, but was so widely realized how well it works for hot flashes. Drs spoke about it, it was reported, spoken about at conferences... So on and so forth, now it is more commonly used to help women through menopause then anything else. Good Luck. Melinda
wow, thanks for the heads up. I have learned to walk around in wet cloths for hours! My hair is wet much of the time. Brisdelle? Thanks- I am going to ask my MD after I try-Yoga, benadryl, estroven, no smoking, no caffeine, and perhaps acupuncture. I really don't want to add any more medication into my system but if that really does work I will try it too.
