I have read that anal fissures off midline may be caused by serious medical conditions such as Crohns and HIV. I have had an itchy anus for years and was prescribed a cream which is effective. I have also had bleeding years previously due to scratching. The cream has now stopped this however i still get cuts and sores around my anus which heals within 1-2 days-they do not lie directly on the midline but not lateral either. Should i be concerned?
I have had quite a few fissures. But they usually start as a boil on me. I had to have them surgically removed, scraped and then packed and they had to heal on their own. As the packing fell out, I just cut it off. I'm not sure that you have fissures. You sound to me more like it might be hemorrhoids. Were you told that you had a fissure? It is just unusual to not have the boil-like pocket on the skin where the fissure ends. A fissure will traverse the inside of your body (hence the need to be scraped out). If your issue is just on the outside of your rectal area it may just be hemorrhoids. Have you tried anything like Preparation H? Maybe try some cream like A + D ointment for diaper rash. It sounds strange but those diaper rash meds DO WORK on other stuff besides diaper rash. IF you need more help, just holler. I will do what I can to help you.
