About two months ago my wife took HpPAC which consists of Lansoprazole, clarithromycin, and amoxicillin, and then she had an allergic reaction, and I had to take her to the emergency room.
Yesterday, she took an amoxicillin (500mg) and metronidazole (500mg) because she has a cold, and again had an allergic reaction and again we went to the emergency room.
Tonight, she want to take an amoxicillin by itself for her cold, but we are afraid that she might have another allergic reaction. The thing is, we don't know to which drug she is allergic to, but her family doctor said it's probably the metronidazole, not amoxicillin. But the doctor in the emergency said take none of them. What is the possibility that she is allergic to amoxicillin? Shall she take one tonight?
