Headaches daily, im post concussion in oct. 2015. Also a traumatic brain injury in '09. Looking for something to prevent these headaches. What doseage is recommended to start?
It is really up to your doctor and or psychiatrist to prescribe what dosage you should start with. Not everyones circumstances/diagnosis are the same. We all have different chemistry. I can only take low dose of just about anything while someone else would need a much higher dose to be effective. You could do some research on this site and others regarding reviews of Amitriptyline for headaches. But best for your doc to recommend a dosage. Wishing you the best.
I had traumatic brain injury then concussions for 4 years. Propranolol 40 mg stopped my concussions. The bad sidec effects especially on the heart forced me to stop propranolol. Then I found out that vitamin E also helps so I took and it helped a lot. For headaches I would advice rest.
