Has anybody suffered tooth loss through taking Amitrityline long term?
I have been taking 75mg daily for one year, and I have not experienced tooth loss. I have had major dental problems though, and I believe it is due to the dry mouth caused by the drug. My dentist said that dry mouth promotes tooth decay, so in my humble opinion I believe it could eventually cause tooth loss.
I am making my second attempt to wean off of the drug, and I hope that the dental problems will stop when it is completely out of my system.
