I am currently take 60mg of Amitriptylene for Fibromyalgia, and started Mirtazipine for depression last week. Since starting the Mirtazapine I have noticed my pain is increasing.
Hi, paws! Mirtazapine shouldn't cause your amitriptyline not to work, but the combination itself can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome. This condition is very rare, but very serious and if while taking the combination you notice any new or unusual symptoms or an increase in your previous symptoms you should notify your physician immediately.
Best wishes, WCV
