i take 125 mg at night& have been on this tablet for 11 years or even more. i feel they no longer working to treat my deppression. is my body immuned to them now.what other tablets do you recomend for me.
Hi, lor! It's not unusual for an antidepressant to *poop out* after long term usage. Amitriptyline is an older tricyclic antidepressant ~ but good ~ and now there are they're are many newer and more effective drugs you can try. Talk to your Doctor right away ~ no sense in suffering!
As kaismama said, there are also SSRI's, SNRI's, and atypicals. You may need to try several different ones, but you WILL find one as good or better than your ami.
