Amitriptyline - Does Elavil hurt your liver?

Hi Kim, the answer would probably be yes; it does seem harsh on the liver. Probably due to it's metabolic pathway in the Liver.

"Amitriptyline hydrochloride should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function."
