Does amitriptyline cancel out citalopram?

Hello patriotmorty. Not certain what you mean by "cancel" Do you mean is one better than the other. They both do well. just go about thier work in a different manner. One, Amtriptyline is from the Tricylic family of antidepressants. Citalopram is from the SSRIs family of drugs. They both work through your brains chemistry but through different ways. They both carry side effects that gradually lessen and disappear the longer that you spend taking the drug/medication. Regards, pledge

Are you asking if taking Amitriptyline causes Citalopram to not work properly? If so the answer is no. I take them both together & get successful results from both.
