... I've started taking the amitriptyline for migraines. Working great for the headaches, though I do still have some very mild dizziness at times. No salt increase or change in diet. I drink plenty of water and other fluids.
Hi, the dizziness is quite common, especially during the first 4 weeks (induction period). The swelling of the limbs is not common, and not to my knowledge listed as a known side effect. I have been taking Amitriptyline for years and have never experienced this. Are you taking any other medications that the Amitriptyline could be interacting with? I think you need to contact your doctor to discuss this!
