Hi Interestedlayman I have seen many people when i was still working take this up to 150mg at bedtime for 20 years and more with very little problems so i really don't think it does in most people You could talk with your doctor and see maybe they might bump it up a little but you get something working this well stick with it some of the newer meds are harder to adjust to..this is a very old drug and used just as much as it was years a go in different combinations if you think something is changing check with your doctor hope this helps some..Have a good day
I have been on it for 40 yrs. Recently I cut the dose in half because of some tachycardia issues. But it had nothing to do with the drug.
