Most likely because these medications aren't meant to be taken long term or daily, as in time either or will loose its effectiveness. My suggestion is utilize 15 tabs for the month, increase exercise, eat cleaner, utilize cognitive therapy to determine the root cause of insomnia, and make good life decisions (Ex no alcohol/drugs). All this and limited use of the Ambien should help increase its effectiveness upon use and ,maybe lead to you not needing medication at all which is the ultimate goal.
