Ambien (Zolpidem) has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA.
This means that animal studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus but there are no adequate studies in humans.
Its potential benefits may warrant use during pregnancy despite its potential risks - however you would need to discuss this with your doctor.
