for this I do physical exercise and yoga daily for 6 months, but cant grow. Plz help me!
Hello Aman200. Exercise might help your growth by a inch, possibly more and that will take possibly several years. Our growth plate stops at a certain age and I believe you have met yours. Some people are tall, and some of us are short and some in between. Best of wishes, pledge
Women can grow up until around 21, men a little later. Your heredity decides how tall you'll be, for the most part. If your parents aren't tall, you usually won't be tall. While exercise is good for you, I seriously doubt it will make you taller. There is plenty to be said for us shorter people.
Growth is determined a great deal by heredity. If your mother and father are short, it is likely that you will be short too. If your parents are tall and you feel like you are not growing properly, you might talk to an endocrinologist but time is of the essence. At 19, you are approaching the age of closure of the growth plates and once the growth plates are closed there is nothing they can do. If you do have a growth hormone deficiency, an endocrinologist can diagnose this and put you on growth hormone injections but only if the growth plates are not closed. If they are closed already, all the growth hormone in the world will not help you. An endocrinologist can do tests to see if you do have growth hormone deficiency and it takes an xray to see if the growth plates are still growing. You may have to come to terms with the fact that this is as tall as you are going to get, especially if others in your family are short of stature.
