I work in the hospitality business, i work 10-14 hour days and i feel so drained all the time. It's a difficult time of year because we host a lot of Christmas party's and i'm just wondering if there are any meds that can help me be more motivated and energetic. I'm always motivated at work, to stop other team members from slacking but when i get home i just feel so drained and terrible.. any thoughts?
Hi, first of all (just to be sure), it wouldn’t hurt to have your doctor test your blood for hypothyroidism, anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency, and other conditions that can cause fatigue.
Things you can do to help, are eating breakfast every day, high fiber foods are good, stay away from complex carbohydrates and fatty foods. Keeping your potassium at a good level is good, spinach is a good source of this. Supplements you can try are: Ginseng, magnesium, ginkgo, co enzyme Q 10 and daily multivitamins. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, and cut down on caffeine and alcohol. I hope this helps!
