I have a congenital valve defect that results in my aortic valve not closing completely, leaking, and have been taking metoprolol for several years. I recently learned that there is an increased risk of acute angle-closure glaucoma which may lead to vision loss when metoprolol is taken with my blood pressure medicine, losartan-hydrochlorothiazide. Is there an alternative that doesn't cause this problem?
