The pill is round blue and has r o31 on it.
What does the r on an alprazolam stand for does that mean it's time released?

The R is a manufacturers logo for Actavis. These are not time release pills. The time release ones from this company are printed with the ID of R84 and R87

R 84 are the 1mg extended release pills. The bottle will also say Alprazolam ER instead of just Alprazolam.
