I had a panic attack but not no more , it's just like I feel depress for some reason sometimes and light headed also it feels as if everything is not right . I was prescribed from my doctor to take Alprazolam 0.5mg but I didn't want to take it . What do I do to get over this anxiety.
Rodney242; you're going to have to face the fact that something is not right yet, I know none of us enjoy taking the medication. But I would advise you to go back to the doctor and let them know how you feel. I don't know how long or much of the Alprazolam your taking sometimes it can mess you up a bit but you can't just stop it if you have been on it for very long you well get withdrawals off of it. But the doctor may want to try you on something else. There are some medications that work well to help with Anxiety and Depression you may not feel depressed but there is a very fine line between the two and it takes the doctor to figure out what you need. This is a process that takes a while but it is better than feeling the way you are. What you should do in the meantime write down your feelings and symptoms that you are having that are making you feel not right. I am 100% serious because we get in the doctor's office and our mind goes blank so I do this many times because either I chicken out to ask or I just forget until I get home. BELIEVE ME what you are going through is normal for tons of people your not alone and you have done yourself a huge favor by knowing something was wrong and just going to the doctor is a huge step. Myself I don't care anymore if I can feel like my old self by having to take medication that is going to take it. And there is no reason to feel bad about needing medication as long as you take it just as prescribed. So anyway please call tomorrow and make an appointment with your doctor you are worth the investment trust me. And please remember to write things down and hand it to the doctor when he or she comes in. So they well look at it and you won't forget. The shame is the people that need help and doesn't go to see the doctor. You got this man. Hang in there it may take a few different things to try before they get the medication that works the best for you so be patient it is so worth it buddy. And feel free to write back anytime if we can help you. Chuck1957
