alot of meds from pain management doctors.When the oxycotin (1 every 12 hours..10 mgs.) and the tramadol(1 every 6 hours up to 3 a day) stopped working my doctor switched me to percoset 7.5 every 8 hours and gabapentin 325 three times a day. The percoset works really good for 4-4& 1/2 hours then the pain starts up and soon I am miserable. What do I do know??? Can I take anything else???
Percocet is a short acting drug and it only works for 4 hrs. They should have just increased your Oxycontin and given you oxycodone for breakthru pain. You went backwards on pain control. Tramadol isn't supposed to be used with other opiods and isn't for severe pain. I truly find it hard to believe that a pain management dr is ordering for you, they usually don't order meds that way.
