I seriously doubt that the tablets have a 'side'. Drug manufacture is industrial in scale and commonly tonnes of medications get dumped in a hopper and go through the pill press machines in each batch. As a result the contents of pills are homogenous (this is also probably a legal requirement). If they have a split mark to help breaking them in half they are definitely the same all the way through.
You don't really think that half is one drug and half is the other do you?
