... little and having cramps. The cramps are all the time and the spotting has happened 3 times in 2 months. It's lasted a few hours each time. I have also experienced some bad back pain. I started the back pain first and went to the doctor. They seemed to think it was not from my Mirena. Should I be concerned and see a doctor? Has this happened to anybody else?
I've had the same problem. In 3 years I haven't had a period or any spotting what so ever now all of a sudden I'm spotting and having sharp pains. I recently went with my younger sister to the Gyno for the first time and her doctor recommended that I make an appointment. She said that if you've had zero spotting in all this time, it's sudden arrival could be an indicator that something is wrong. It could be out of place or an infection. Mirena is approved for up to 7 years of protection however they say 5 just to be safe. These symptoms should not be due to it being almost time to remove.. I go to the doctor Tuesday!
