... After numerous trips to ER, physical therapy and Dr's offices, no one will do an MRI and the pain is practically intolerable. How do I get someone to actually TRY and figure out what the problem is? I'm 37 now, just got married last year and it has totally put a damper on everything... sleeping, work... sex life. I also have a very high drug tolerance and I hate having to take pain pills because they literally help for like an hour. Help?
Dean; Is this also from the doctor that did your surgery a few years back if not I would try and see that doctor. Or just make another appointment with your doctor and tell them like it is you can't handle the pain meds,They don't work you don't want to take a chance of getting addicted to the medication.
And why well they not do an MRI or whatever it takes to find the root of the problem. Just say it like it is these doctors are people too.And tell them you are tired of messing around with pain medication you want to have them find out why you are hurting. If you don't say what you thinking they well put you off for a long time have you been able to see an Orthopedic doctor to have them order test. If not make sure that if you need a referral from your regular doctor to see one they do it. You don't want to get stuck with the bill. Good luck Chuck1957
