Sorry - this question was not answered. There are maximum amounts on the Lactaid box.
The caplets directions say "You may have to take more than 1 chewable tablet but no more than 2 at a time." Why not? What might happen? What did they base that on? What should we look for if we take too many? All I could find - Lactase enzyme (OTC)(one brand, Lactaid) ["Has not been evaluated by the FDA, but is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) for human consumption."] - from medscape.com/ Lactaid Fast Act says 2 tablets. Why not 4, if it works? Thanks in advance for trying!
