After taking carvedilol, blood pressure continues to rise. Why?

Is carvedilol the only medication you are on? Is your doctor who prescribed this med for you aware that your blood pressure is still going up? If not, he should be made aware of it. There are literally hundreds of blood pressure medications to try. Most times, when there is difficulty in getting it to go down (as in my case), they will try different combinations that work with each other to accomplish that goal.
