on two years, I am having difficulty finding new docs, especially pain management. What to do?
Hi Laura, I have had to change Dr's a few times, because of all the moves I have had to do. But I found it helpful to get referalls from the Dr's I was leaving, in fact they have always made arrangements so when I have moved to a new place I have a appointment already set up. So I would ask your old Dr to help with you being set up with a new Dr. Take Laura and I wish you well in your new place. Liz.
just gogle pain medicine drs in your area, make sure you have your previous drs send all ur progress nots after finding a dr and before making ur appt, i would lok for a pain management dr that is also an anesthelogist, they have so much more expertiese, just primary mds that state they are pain medicine drs really dont have enough knowledge in that area and are just more then willing to hand out painkillers! then actually helping resolve or explore the problem! good luck
