she has been treated with itravitral injections of vancomycin, dexamethasone and amikacin followed by iv infusion of cefartroxone, wancomycin, amikacin and prednisolone for 5 days . hrly drops of pridnisolon, homatropin an vigamox and hypersol. vision has still not improved. please tell what are chances of regaininlg of normal vision.
It is anyone's guess. Infection after cataract surgery (I assume she had an infection occur?) is not common but it can happen. Did they do a vitrectomy? It sounds like they did. More than likely her vision will improve some but it is hard for anyone, even her surgeon, to say how much. Unfortunately it is a "wait and see" kind of thing.
