Does Advil reduce the effectivness of birth control? also, is it safe to have unprotected sex on the inactive pills? i'm taking all my pills correctly
yes, Advil is safe to use with birth control. It does not counter the effects of birth control hormones. As long as you take all your active pills correctly you are protected all month, even on the inactive ones. Condoms, once the Pill is effective, are for STD protection. The only time you need them to protect against pregnancy is if you miss pills or you are put on antibiotics which do decrease the effectiveness of the Pill. If you are taking your pills correctly and are not on any antibiotics, there is no need for any other form of protection against pregnancy. Taken correctly they are 98-99.9% effective at preventing pregnancy. They stop ovulation. If you dont ovulate, you cannot get pregnant no matter how much sperm is present.
