It took my pulmonologist 3 months to get rid of my initial infection. I had to suggest to him to perform a bronchoscopy on me to find out what the bacterial agent was. Otherwise, I guess I would still be coughing up green mucus, breaking ribs, having people stare at me in public, and taking antibiotics that didn't work. Finally, after two failed antibiotics, Bactrim, and Cefpotin, ten days of 750 mg. of Levaquin a day worked. I have been given no other information by him or their office -- PLEASE I need guidance and advice. I am 65 and feel completely alone with this new incurable chronic disease. Thank you - Tony
