..as it seems to end up in my or coughed up... the same with Speriva ... am I getting the proper dose?
Hello. Advair is a powder and you have to be sure how you use it. Remember to exhale fully and then inhale through the nose in a quick burst as you press the trigger. Continue inhaling to finish. Hold your breath for at least ten seconds or longer and then slowly exhale through the mouth. If you don't it gets in the nose and back of throat and is irritating. Then do the other nostril. Always brush your teeth and drink a glass of water afterwards to clear it out of the throat and mouth.
The new spray is actually used the same except the drops don't look like they are coating the throat. I had a bronch done after using the powder and my Pulmonologist asked me what I had been inhaling as I had lung areas covered in white dust. The spray doesn't do that. He did laugh when he remembered he prescribed it and told me to stop waking up before he was done. Ha ha. Funny me!
Are you getting the proper dose? Under dosed if not doing correctly.
