... causes Me. My old doctor died. And I haven't been to a dr. in years. What do I do?
There are many different types of medication now that treat anxiety. You really need to be seen by a doctor to be evaluated for what might best work for you. Explain your symptoms and let the doctor decide the best medication to help you manage your condition.
Taxpayer; just as Laurie said the first step is get a doctor, Ask a few people you know or family how happy they are with there doctor. With most of us it's a combination of therapy or learning tricks to calm the attacks down and the right combination of medication to keep this disease under control. The sooner you get into a doctor the better for you. And now days there are so many new medications that work so much better than 10 years ago. Think positive and start looking for a Doctor to get this under control. You will feel so much better in time. You might want to write down your problems on a piece of paper so you don't forget anything with the new doctor And just hand them the note to cut down the anxiety of being there. I still do this often when I chicken out and don't want to mention something. But you well be supprised how much better you can feel..Best of luck and keep in touch.
