My daughter, who is a sophomore in college, has struggled with Anxiety and panic disorder for years. The past 6 months she has also had issues of depression. Her psychiatrist has put her on 10 MG Lexapro and 10 Mg Adderall. She is taking the Adderall in the AM about 9 AM and the Lexapro at night before bed, 11 PM. Anyone have any insight? She is having some trouble sleeping waking up very exhausted. What time of day is best to take Lexapro with the ADHD medicine. She is also in the process of switching to Vyvanese 10 MG once cleared by insurance because we have heard there are less side effects. She also has only been on the meds about 3 weeks now. Thank you.
trix; Sorry but because your daughter is about to change medications and this she has only been on it 3 weeks I think I would leave it. Until she starts the other medication and sees how it works. but if she has too. It's always good to take the Lexapro at the same time each day. But she could take it as soon as she gets up and waits about an hour and take the Adhd med. This might help her sleep a bit better but if she does change the Lexapro it is very important that she continue to take it about the same time each day.
And when she see's the doctor again tell the doctor about the problem if she still has it with these two and asks if it well still is a problem. Good luck to you and the Daughter she should be doing fine soon. Lexapro takes 6 to 8 weeks to reach the full blood level where you really notice a difference if it is going to help with the depression. Chuck1957
