I do have an exstreme case of ADHD, and sometimes when I take the medicine it will work for up 48 hours. I take 20 mgs which isn't much compared to when I was a child. It works perfectly most of the time, but occasionally it will keep me up and focused in the zone for as long as 48 hours. Does anyone know why this could be?
Maybe the ADHD is diminishing in severity with time with the occasional really good day? My step sister had excellent success with Adderall and her ADHD. She was able to discontinue the medication in her late teens or early 20's I think. She certainly does not suffer from it now and is one of the most disciplined purposeful people I can think of.
