I was diagnosed with ADH medication withoutD and take 20 mg twice a day. I stopped taking it because I feel that I can not stop being continuously active, my appetite is null, but just importantly I can not sleep at all. most times I stay up all night. However if I don't take it I don't get the motivation needed to do basic things or House cleaning and will be very tired and lazy. What I'd going on with me? Any recommendations to use the medication without my issues?
Hi, sorry you're not having things easy right now. There are a lot of medications that can be used to treat ADHD/ADD symptoms, and a lot of the time, a doctor will do a bit of trial & error to find the medication that works best for the individual. I don't know how old you are? So i'm guessing you are an adult? I ask because only a handful of medications are used in adults with ADHD/ADD. The most popular ones are Concerta, Vyvanse, Quillivant XR, and Focalin XR, & of course Adderall XR, which you have tried unsuccessfully. Talk with your doctor about how life is for you and ask about trying a new medication possibly?
I have ADHD also and I can't take adderal and this may sound crazy but I take caffeine pills and it works, I take 200mgs in the morning, in the early afternoon and my last one at 5pm and it works ! Caffeine is a stimulate and so is adderal and with people who have true ADHD it reacts opposite in the body . Just give it a try ,it can't hurt to try and maybe you will get some sleep .
