I have been on it for 2 months and it's not completely helping. I tried ability and it did not help made me worse. I'm looking to suggestions to talk to my doc about Monday..thank you all
You did not say what Celexa is not completely helping, depression, anxiety or both? There are other antidepressants that may work better for you. Celexa did not work for me but Lexapro did for my anxiety. I am on Wellbutrin for depression and added low dose of Lexapro for anxiety. But would not suggest this unless you cannot find one antidepressant that works. Better to be on one med if you can. Some of us need a combo. Don't give up there are options.
Hope you find something that works for you :)
Hi, chell! Sorry to hear you're still having trouble. You might want to ask your doctor about Buspar if anxiety is an issue for you. It's not an antipsychotic, nor antidepressant, and it's non narcotic. Many people find it very helpful and it's relatively free of any moderate to severe side effects. It's one of those products that's been around forever but is infrequently prescribed because *new and improved* (read expensive with awful side effects) drugs have come to market.
Best wishes and good luck at your appointment. Wildcat
