I have been on Adderall for more than 10 years and I'm in a dilemma. I also have depression and anxiety. Adderall used to work really good for many years but for a while now I've been having issues feeling that it has lost its potency because I've been on it for so long. Now I also have another issue. I have kind of high blood pressure and my anxiety isn't managed very well right now. it definitely gets worse when I take the Adderall but I'm wondering if I need to be on other anxiety medication other than Prozac, Topamax and clonidine. so I'm wondering if I should get back onto clonazepam and hire at the dose of Adderall even though I'm already on 30 mg of Adderall XR once a day or try to switch to a different medication. I don't know what to do because Adderall used to work quite well and I've already tried Wellbutrin and it didn't and do anything. Also I'm wondering if I should try the regular Adderall 30 mg twice a day versus the Adderall XR 30 mg once a day.again I'm just not sure what to do because I do have a lot of anxiety I don't know if it has to do with the fact that I'm not on the right anxiety medication because like I said I used to be on clonazepam or even if it's because of my age.I was 16 when I first started taking Adderall and now I'm 27 so I don't know what to do.
Well hello there this is David I go by DJ but you may either one it doesn't matter to me. For your ADD I would just up the dosage of the Adderall to the next level up or to the highest whichever is the next one up and try that the regular Adderall first. for your anxiety Try diazepam(brand name Valium) the reason why I suggest that medicine is because it last longer in your system then the quick-acting ones of Ativan Klonopin and Xanax they act quickly but don't last very long diazepam takes a little while to kick in but it last longer! I personally take it myself 10Mg 3 times a day & 10Mg @bedtime
I am also taking the Adderall too my dosage is 15Mg twice a day. now for your depression may I suggest to try a SSRI =means serotonin reuptake inhibitor, the drug brand name is called Cymbalta generic name Duloxetine I started Cymbalta in 2006 and till a month ago I am on a new medication, SAVELLA, however SAVELLA is not for depression it's for fibromyalgia but it is a SSRI & which I researched ssris that one popped up and talk to my doctor I said let's give it a try and it stopped those nasty thoughts slow the progression of depression download great deal I feel a lot better! I hope you found this to be very helpful to you if you have any further questions about medications diagnosis etc.. please feel free to contact me anytime, how ever way you can contact me I don't always check postings but your posting I came across So I responded right away with it so there's my answer I hope that helps you!

On my computer system which consists of my cell phone and my desktop I have the ICD-9 and ICD-10 which is the physical diagnosis book but they also contain mental disorder diagnosis but with different codes so I use all 4 of them as I needed and I have medication books too Iowa of looking at the medication whether prescribed over-the-counter or illicit drug I have way of looking them up.
