When having surgery you should always be sure the surgeon and the anesthesiologist knows what you are on, and why. They will be the ones to answer your question.

You need to definitely let the surgeon know you are taking it and for what condition you are taking it for so they can let you know if you need to stop it and if you do, when to resume it. They may need to take special precautions depending on the reason that you are taking it.
