Is the active ingredient in zzz quil and/or benadryl harmful to the liver?

Diphenhydramine, the active ingredient, is an anti histamine and has no liver damage noted. When companies come out with products like zzz quil to rip off people it makes me angry. There has been a liquid diphenhydramine for years, that is much cheaper.

If it doesn't have Tylenol in it, then it's not harmful to the liver. If you are worried about causing harm to the liver, then the main things to look out for are Tylenol (Acetaminophen), or Alcohol! Any medications that have those 2 ingredients in them can be harmful to the liver, especially of you have some type of liver desease, like HepC. hope this helps! :))
