Last night was my first time inserting the pill and this morning my period came on. I normally don't have bv when my period is on but I would like to continue using the pills while my period is on but idk if I should. I seen one woman say she inserted 2 pills each night for 3 or 4 nights and I want to use that method but I'm a little nervous about it. This is for anyone that can help me..
Acidophilus is a probiotic or "good bacteria" that lives naturally in your intestines and vagina. It has been used to treat or prevent vaginal yeast infections, yeast infections of the mouth, diarrhea caused by taking antibiotics, and urinary tract infections.
Bacterial vaginosis is a condition that involves vaginal inflammation caused by the overgrowth of bacteria. Acidophilus may help to reintroduce good bacteria and restore the bacterial balance and vaginal health.
You can choose to take an oral or vaginal supplement to add back the healthy bacteria. Follow the instructions on the label as directions vary. For example some products say to insert into the vagina once or twice daily for up to 3 months, another brand (Calagin) recommends that it is inserted daily into the vagina for 10 days after menstruation for 3 months.
