I had severe back pain two days ago. I went to an urgent care center and the PA-C prescribed diclofenac sodium 75mg tablets and cyclobenzaprine 10mg tablets. I took the recommended dosages, once home, and the next day I still felt pain. I took two acetaminophen, 650mg tablets, every two to three hours in an eight hour period for relief. I also repeated with six tablets the next day. The pain has lessened, but I feel as if I have taken too much and I am trying to drink lots of fluids to flush my system.
oldgold; Well that is already done, not enough to really do damage over 2 days Just remember if you are in pain like that go back to the clinic you should never have to take that much Tylenol in a day. Just so you know Tylenol max dose in 24 hours is 4 grams 2 of the most common are 500mg which is 1 gram so you would not take more than 8 pills within 24 hours of the 500mg or a total of 4000mg is 4 grams and if you need more something is wrong and you need to get into the doctor. Chuck1957 please double check my math I am not doing great this is from Chemobrain. But the bottom line is you're on or a tad bit over the limit but one day of that you're good. If you're still in that much pain today please go see the doctor. again.
