When I got my refill for hydrocodone 5mg/500mg it did not have the same effect on my pain as the original prescription. I was wondering if they make a placebo to help keep a person from becoming dependent?

Could be possible, this could be firmly confirmed from the pharmacist/doc who prescribed the med. Generally clinical trials are carried out on the actual & placebo, hope this helps?
That is a possibility, however. and i am basing this off of years experience with the drug. Now you might be experiencing some sort of withdrawals because your body may want a higher dose to help the pain. the only reason i can come up with is you have built a minor physical or mental addiction in my opinion 5/500 mg lortab or norco only helped me out the first month and a half of scripts. I haven't taken those for a while i use 10/325. On top of the minor pain relief they also make my stomach feel horrible. I am not a licensed physician, or a medical adviser in any way. hope my OPINION helps.
