Once any medications expire there effectiveness begins to break down & change. Normally decreasing but not always. There is no way outside of a laboratory to gauge how potent the med still is so thats why they expire. Each pill breaks down differently so you can take 2 & have them not work well at all then take another 2 & have it work too well. After expiration theres no way to accurately dose yourself.
