... this medication. I've had this medication for over 15 years and the only thing that works for my headaches. My last prescription was just sent to the pharmacy and I was told my insurance AARPMedicare Complete is no longer covering it. My out of pocket for 90 tablets would be anywhere between $350 to $500
When looking up this medication, brand name Midrin, I found it was no longer being manufactured but the medication Prodrin is similar but contains only 2 of the 3 ingredients and has caffeine added. So it appears it's not a matter of your insurance not paying for it as it is that it is no longer being produced. I also found it was a form of migraine medication called an abortive medication for migraines. There's also some other abortive medications out there for migraines that you might could ask about including: Imitrex, Maxalt, Zomig, Amerge, Axert, Relpax and Frova.
I also suffer from migraines and know the battle of finding just the right combination for relief. I hope there is an alternative that will work for you due to the fact yours seems to no longer be manufactured. Good luck!
