are they putting less acetaminophen in the pills now?
And what Kasm.said is for a good reason when the ones on the market now all the companys were doing is adding acetaminophen to the hydrocodone and another type of vicodin was on the market the last i remember was 750mg in the hydrocodone and someone in bad pain or having to take 1-2 every 4-6 hours would go way over the reccomended amout of tylenol..not to mention the people that would take extra tylenol with the pills for extra pain..lots of liver damage from acetaminophen..Chuck1957 medically retired pharm.tech.Oregon.
I have heard of hydrocodone 7.5 with 500 milligrams of acetaminophen in it. Thats a lot. I have taken Norco. Which is 7.5mg of hydrocodone and 325mg of acetaminophen. Taking too many pills can lead to liver toxicity from the acetaminophen. The max dose per day of that is 4 grams. And that's for a healthy person with no proir alcohol abuse. 4 grams equals 4,000 milligrams. So be careful with how much you take.
