How long will these symptoms continue? I had been on Cymbalta ( Two 60 mg at bedtime) and the doctor decreased to one 30 mg before starting the fluoxetine ( two 20 mg). The doctor and I decided to switch for insurance reasons, loss of my job and looking for personal health insurance. Many companies were wanting generic drugs in order to cover prescriptions.
I have been taking fluoxetine 60 mg for quite a while. I remember the strange dreams but they became fewer and farther between and definately manageable. I don't recall the dizziness. Possibly check with your doctor and try not to let your insurance company dictate what you need because of what they will pay for. Most psycotropic meds have a perscription drug program you can apply for if your ins won't pay and the doc says it's necessary. Possibly check into that. Good Luck. The perscription drug program is also income based and loss of job is an excellent qualification. You may qualify for more than you realize.
