... to start taking it. Good results? Adverse effects?
He has never taken an injectible medication and is very, very skeptical of taking this. I want to help him research this from the perspective of people who have had experience taking it. (which is what he is asking). My son is currently in a hospital and can't do this research for himself.
The doctor gave me the injection on a Thursday. Before the injection I was sleeping 14 hours a day and next to zero libido. I am 31 years old. Anyway that same night I vomited like there was no tomorrow. Maybe like 8 to 10 times. Whatever I threw up must have been in my body for years. Friday my libido did a total 180 and I only slept for 6-8 hours. I drink strong caffeine drinks to wake up your brain so it will know what is good and what isn't. I also take Wellbutrin in the morning, Latuda in the evening around dinnertime and finally divalproexe and clozapine. All these meds are for the patients best interest. Also very important: boil your water to get the chemicals out. 5 to 10 minutes and drink it warm. Hope this helps.
Abilify is the only antipsychotic i have had any luck with. I feel like myself and still have a broad range of emotions and feelings. Im not numb on this drug. I feel alot still but it helps me to focus. So i can lead a relatively normal life. Also i lost weight while taking this. I still am taking it.
